How to draw a Architectural plan

The plan is a drawing of the outline and partitions of a building as you would see them if the building were cut in a certain height. A basic geometrical shape or collection of shapes or organic shapes are basically implemented to make an architectural plan. There are many techniques that can be applied to shape out a plan.

There is however my method of finalizing the plan from the general concept, What I use,

Concept + Functions = Room Sizes

Room sizes + Room numbers = Area

 Total areas into floor plans.

The bubble diagram approach is an effective method of establishing the overall design concept. The inside and outside design is determined by the size and relationship of the areas.

STEP 1:

In this demonstration I have selected a 10x10 grid. You can chose any grid what ever suits you. Then i selected the number of grid boxes i need to make a desired shape. Then draw an outline which defines the shape of the plan.

                                        STEP 1

                                                                                                     STEP 2

Step 2:

Draw a offset line inside or the shape that you have drawn before. Do not worry about how much space you must have in between the lines. Because this is a simple illustration of the drawing so you don't need to a "PERFECTIONIST".

Step 3:

Now you can fill the inside spaces with deep marker or any dark color. It gives a much highlighted translation to a plan. Generally this filling is done to define a material which will be the material of the wall. Then here i have drawn a lines to mark the placement of the ornaments in the wall.

                                                       STEP 4

                                                       Final Plan

Windows, Doors, Veranda (Added Spaces) which i call ornaments in plan. You can certainly name yours... 😉

Fonts: Choosing the right one

Architects pays a lot of attention to the fonts we use. A rchitects have proven to be especially picky in chosen typography. To put it together they are perfectionist. Even a tiny details irritates them too much. I mean if you are a fellow architect you know where I am coming from.......Right!  Mies van der Rohe once stated “God is in the details” and apparently we take it seriously 😃 Graphic elements are  constantly used in a extensive way to make a scheme of their works. Among them, what should be prioritized are the drawings, techniques, styles & patterns. But the most particular icon that helps them to determine a clear out look is the composition and the idea generally the FONT . Font types are designs assumed by a pattern. There are variations which can be highlighted as light, italic, bold  also by the type of box high-uppercase and lower-lowercase.  The correct choice of font can communicate to simple rhythm. It leads to a mental calmness thr
